Why Choose Us?

At Matthew Rimmer Podiatry when people book an appointment they are guaranteed to see me, the principal and Podiatrist of my own practice. It is therefore in my best interests to provide the best possible service and provide value for money if I want to continue to grow a successful business and build a great reputation.

I am committed to developing a podiatry practice that provides good old fashioned customer service and quality of care. Integrity and honesty is at the forefront of my ethos.

My commitment to quality of care and patient satisfaction is demonstrated by the following:

Initial Consultations are up to 45 minutes in duration and subsequent/standard consultations are booked for a minimum of 30 minutes so that I have time and energy to devote to my patient in order to establish an effective and thorough treatment plan as well as provide the very best treatment.

Punctuality for appointments. It is very rare that I run late as I don’t like to be kept waiting so I don’t expect my patients to accept it. I value my patient’s time as I do my own. I do ask that patients attend punctually, ideally 5 to 10 minutes early if it is an initial consult so that patient history and consent forms are completed without eating into valuable clinical time.

All patient records are computer based and are kept confidential and secure as part of our privacy policy that adheres to the strict Australian Podiatry Council guidelines.

If clinically necessary as part of your treatment I can refer directly for X-rays, Ultrasound and MRI and will forward the resulting report directly to your GP.
As part of my commitment to providing the very best care I will keep your G.P. informed of any important issues that arise so that you receive the best clinical outcomes.

Investment in continued professional development: attending seminars, conferences and reading peer reviewed journals from Australia and around the world,so that I can keep abreast of changes in podiatry as well as the broader health care sector and provide treatment plans that utilise sound clinical reasoning and “evidence based practice.”

Developing and maintaining a good network of fellow health professionals such as GPs, Practice Nurses, Physios, Pedorthotists,Osteopaths, Massage therapists, Chiropractors and Orthopaedic surgeons that I can refer to and liaise with regarding my patient’s care. This multidisciplinary approach allows me to provide the best clinical outcomes for my patients and provide them with the relevant information in order to make informed decisions and empower them to be proactive about their health.

Ongoing and significant investment in new clinic equipment.Recent additions to the practice include the latest Radial Shockwave Therapy machine which is proving a fantastic treatment option for chronic heel pain and various tendon pathologies. Continued investment in the latest 3D scanning technology and software has yielded excellent results for patients who have been fitted with custom made orthotics without the need for messy plaster of paris casts.
